Our clients had recently purchased this Listed house, but the layout of the garden did not provide them with enough play space for their growing family or reflect their preference for contemporary design. Too many shrub borders took up lawn space and concrete driveway pavers had been used for paths throughout the garden. An existing pond needed refurbishment.
Our new garden design opens views across the garden, enlarges the lawn and creates new paths and neater planting areas. A large slate waterfall is now the focal point at the end of the garden. The pond has been restored with a hardwood deck constructed around it. There is a new dining terrace with feature sculpture on a wall, a play area with swings and a formal Box parterre around existing large Box balls. Existing walls and entrances were altered to create an entrance courtyard. A lighting scheme brings the property and its new features to life at night.
