The design for this garden is based on a circular theme, taken from the curved end of the existing swimming pool.  It includes curved steps, moon gates, arches over paths, circular ponds and a circular layout of the formal garden.  Levelling existing steep banks in the garden and installing a series of low brick retaining walls enabled the laying of a flat lawn for games and provided the opportunity for multi level planting.  A comprehensive lighting system has been installed in the garden which helps extend its use into the evening.  In the Winter time the garden and its water features are illuminated so that they can be viewed and enjoyed from inside the house.
