This garden had been neglected for many years and was little more that an overgrown, sloping field with large areas of unchecked Bamboo.  Apart from wanting to totally change the layout of the garden, the client was very interested in bringing in as wide a range of plants as possible; in particular plants from Japan where he and his wife had lived.  The garden now has many areas of interest, filled with plants for a variety of conditions, from hot and dry, wet ground and streams, as well as shady woodland areas.
